More reliable data than you have today

Last free day, rail, and ETAs: the three things that cost you money when they are wrong. We are better at all three.

01

Last free day and availability

The date that decides whether you pay demurrage, pulled from every source that publishes one.

  • Last free day from direct terminal, carrier, and railroad connections, combined with machine-learning dwell analysis.
  • Availability and outgate at port-level detail, through direct integrations with all major North American terminals.
  • At-risk containers surface 24 to 48 hours before free time expires, with timestamped records you can use to dispute an incorrect bill.
02

Rail data nobody else carries

All North American Class 1, 2, and 3 railroads, including the interchange routes where containers go dark.

  • Sightings with timestamps and locations, availability notices, ETNs, last free day at the ramp, and chassis assignments.
  • ETAs 80% more accurate than carrier estimates alone, including across the interchanges where handoffs usually break.
  • Domestic intermodal tracks on an equipment number alone. No booking number, no manual calls.
03

ETAs more accurate than any single source

We score the carrier, the terminal, and AIS against actual arrival every day, then serve whichever one wins.

  • Selection logic shaped by hundreds of operators, not the carrier number passed straight through.
  • Always to vessel berthing, never to anchorage, so drayage and appointments plan against the same moment.
  • When sources disagree, we show every candidate ETA, the one we chose, and why.

Everything you need

Container tracking

By container number, bill of lading, or booking number, with the carrier feed and the terminal feed reconciled on the same container.

Vessel tracking and AIS

Live vessel position and voyage data.

Ship schedules

Planned sailings by lane, by port, and by vessel.

Route planning, distance, and time

Lane options, transit times, and service choices through the API.

Blank sailing detection and alerts

Cancelled sailings surface as soon as the source reports them, with alternate liner options.

Drayage visibility

Outgate to ingate, direct from the carriers: delivery appointments, estimated and actual deliveries, empty notifications, and driver GPS.

Plus a lot more

AI workflow platform

Not a chat assistant bolted onto tracking. Workflows that take an action when the data changes.

ISF filing

Filed from the data we already hold, under your broker filer code.

Arrival notice automation

Notices generated and sent without an ops person assembling them.

Document processing

Structured data pulled out of the documents your carriers and customers send you.

RFQ and quoting

Ingests spot quotes and RFPs from email, portals, and spreadsheets, then assembles the response and syncs it to your TMS.

Sovereign AI deployment

For enterprises that cannot send supply chain data to a shared model.

Want to see it on your own containers? Send a handful of live numbers and we will show you exactly what comes back.

Nobody has to go dark during the switch

We run our feed in parallel with what you have now. You compare the two side by side and cut over when your team signs off.

1

Send us your fields

We map the fields and events your systems consume today to their OpenTrack equivalent. You do not rewrite your data model.

2

Run both feeds

We subscribe a sample of your live containers. Your current feed keeps running. You compare outputs on real shipments, not a demo account.

3

Cut over when you say so

Switch traffic on your timeline. No gap between providers, and the old feed stays up until you retire it.

Same team, 3 to 10x the throughput

Better data does more than tell you what happened. It is accurate enough to act on without a person checking it first, so filing, notices, and chasing can run on their own.

ISF filing

Filed from the data we already have, under your broker filer code.

Arrival notice automation

Notices generated and sent without an ops person building them by hand.

Document processing

Pull structured data out of the documents your customers and carriers send you.

Invoice audit

Carrier and vendor invoices matched to shipments, with demurrage, detention, and chassis charges validated against what actually happened.

FAQ

Questions we are getting this week

Do we have to rebuild our integration?+

No. We map your existing fields to ours first, so your systems keep consuming the shape they expect wherever possible.

Where do your ETAs come from, and what happens when data sources disagree?+

OpenTrack ETAs combine carrier, terminal, and AIS-based predictions, then select the best estimate using logic shaped by hundreds of operators. Every ETA targets vessel berthing, not anchorage. When sources disagree, we show every candidate ETA, the one we display, and plain-language reasoning in the dashboard or API. We measure accuracy daily against actual arrival. On one Yantian to Long Beach shipment, OpenTrack was 33 minutes off ten days out while the steamship line ETA was five days early.

Do you provide distance or time estimates for a route?+

Yes. Route distance and transit time estimates are available through the API.

How fast can we be live?+

Most teams are receiving data the same day they send their first container list, through the portal. The API is a short integration if you would rather plug it into a system you already have. We run in parallel with your current feed until you are ready to cut over.

How does your pricing work?+

OpenTrack is priced on a per-container usage basis and scales up and down to suit your business needs and seasonality. Billing is available on monthly or annual terms with volume-based discounts for annual commitments. There are no additional fees for API usage, additional users or implementation support. Teams migrating from SeaRates also get a $1,000 credit applied to their first invoice.

Can we test before we commit?+

Yes. Send a handful of live container numbers and we will show you exactly what we return for them. No integration needed to evaluate.

Which carriers, terminals, and regions do you cover?+

OpenTrack covers 99% of global ocean shipments through connected ocean carriers, so intra-Asia, Europe, and Middle East lanes are visible wherever those carriers operate, with barge moves, transshipments, and door moves included. We maintain direct links with all North American terminals, all Class I rail carriers, and all major ocean carriers, plus a growing list of smaller carriers. Direct terminal integrations add the deepest port-level detail: last free day, availability, and outgate.

What our customers say

Now we have the proactive capability to get ahead of the curve on Last Free Day to know if demurrage will occur and what it will cost — and for empty containers returned, OpenTrack has also given us the ability to get those containers in before we hit LFD.

Steve Browne
Director of Operations

Our goal at port x is to provide a gold level of service in the domestic transportation industry, and one of the ways we do that is by using the best technology available. The OpenTrack platform makes the tracking process significantly more efficient for our operators that use to spend too much of their time checking different sources for the most up to date tracking information.

Tom Zeis
Director of Turvo and Continuous Improvement

Our partnership with OpenTrack combines Turvo’s collaborative TMS with OpenTrack’s ocean freight visibility to enable logistics service providers and shippers to reduce transportation costs including demurrage and per diem fees, improve on time deliveries & create efficiencies throughout the supply chain for a better overall, more connected customer experience.

Jeff Graan
Vice President of Solution Engineering

With carrier reliability at only 38%, we needed an ocean visibility tool that set us apart and gave our customers the information they needed to make critical decisions. OpenTrack fit that requirement perfectly!

Bonnie
Vice President of Business Development & Customer Care

OpenTrack has allowed total visibility into our international Logistics Supply Chain. The greatest benefit of utilizing the visibility tool is knowing exactly when containers are available in the USA ports/rails and the ability to track how many days a container has been out for delivery. OpenTrack has allowed us to dramatically drive down demurrage, detention and chassis expense.

Jack Conaghan
Director of Logistics

This has decreased my tracking time for import more than half! And its shareable with my clients….they love it too!

Kevin Brissette
Agency Owner | ICAT BO1 Station

OpenTrack providing us live, easy-to-view data on all our containers has transformed what used to be an arduous process into a breeze. The functionality has made a world of difference for both our internal operations and our customers.

Brian Denette
Supply Chain Coordinator

We’ve been very pleased with the data quality and visibility we receive from OpenTrack. Bringing everything into one tracking system has allowed us to be proactive and less reactive to inbound containers. We also API connected our business intelligence tool to OpenTrack which has significantly increased our capabilities.

Reed Rivers
Vice President Sales

We had shipments out of Norfolk a couple weeks back and it was great to see the port appointments. I was able to push our carrier to secure better appointments for our customer.

Jin Baisch
Manager | Multi-Modal

Send us ten container numbers

Book a demo and bring ten live container numbers. We will run them and show you exactly what comes back, next to what you get today. Twenty minutes, no integration, and you will know.
