Ask ChatGPT to find exceptions across all your containers, see a container's route on a map right in the chat, automate sending status updates, and much more.
OpenTrack is now a ChatGPT plugin. Install it, sign in with your OpenTrack login, and ChatGPT answers from the containers you already track in OpenTrack. If ChatGPT is already open on your team's screens all day, your shipment questions can go there too.
What you can ask ChatGPT to do
Find exceptions across all your containers
Start your day with "Find exceptions across all my containers." ChatGPT pulls the boxes that need a call today, like a hold or a last free day coming up, so you work the problems first.
Look up a container
Ask about any container you track and get its status, ETAs, last free day, holds, and demurrage history as a clean answer, not a screen to dig through.
See the route on a map
Ask for a container's route and ChatGPT shows it on a map right in the chat, with each stop and leg along the way.
Search your containers by port or ETA window
Ask which of your containers arrive at Los Angeles this week, or which are due at Savannah in the next ten days, and get the list back in seconds.
Start tracking a box or a whole master bill
When a new booking comes in, ask ChatGPT to start tracking the container, or every container on the master bill, without opening another tab.
Manage webhooks
List your webhooks, check what they delivered, and register or update one when an integration needs a listener.
You don't need a paid ChatGPT plan to install or use the plugin.
Chain OpenTrack with your other ChatGPT apps
ChatGPT can use more than one connected app in the same chat. Put OpenTrack next to your email, your TMS, or your files and one ask can run a whole workflow.
Draft customer status emails
With Gmail or Outlook connected: "Find my containers arriving at Long Beach this week and draft an update to each consignee with the ETA and last free day." You review the drafts and hit send.
Turn a booking email into tracking
"Read the booking confirmation from the carrier in my inbox and start tracking every container on that master bill." No copying numbers between windows.
Line up drayage before the last free day
"List my containers with a last free day in the next three days that are still at the terminal, and draft a pickup request to our trucker for each one."
Check your TMS against live tracking
If your TMS has a ChatGPT connection: "Compare the ETAs on my open loads in the TMS with OpenTrack and flag any that are off by more than a day." Then fix the dates or tell the customer before they ask.
Send the team a morning exceptions summary
"Find exceptions across all my containers and write a short summary for the ops team, grouped by port." Paste it into email or chat, or have ChatGPT draft the email for you.
Track from a spreadsheet
With your files connected: "Start tracking every master bill in this sheet, then tell me which containers arrive next week."

Using Claude too?
OpenTrack is also in Claude's connector directory with the same tools. Setup notes for both are in our MCP docs.
